Category: Classes, workshops, Free event and Literature, spoken word, writing

Jeannette Brown published short stories in respected journals for decades, but landing a publishing house for her first novel was another story. Come hear the journey, one full of creative maneuvers as well as persistence, to getting The Illusion of Leaving published by Texas Review Press in May 2020.

Brown’s work has appeared in Bellevue Literary Review, Southwestern American Literature, New Millennium Writings and Steel Toe Review. She is the co-editor of Literary Lunch, a KWG food anthology. She has enjoyed residencies at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, Rivendell Writers’ Colony and Hedgebrook/India.
