Our Victorian Studio: Todd Morgan and Westwood, the Unique 1890 Home of Knox Heritage
Thursday, June 10 at 6:00 p.m. on Zoom

On Thursday, June 10, our guest speaker will be our colleague Todd Morgan, executive director of Knox Heritage, the 47-year-old historical preservation organization. He'll talk about their mission and progress, as well as about their remarkable--dare we say unique--headquarters. Todd and his fellow staffers go to work every day in an extremely unusual 1890 brick Victorian house on Kingston Pike, known as Westwood, which is open for public tours. What makes Westwood extraordinary, besides the serpentine walls and stained-glass windows, has a lot to do with the fact that it was designed expressly for one extraordinary individual, working artist Adelia Armstrong Lutz (1859-1931). Her well-lit studio, a local marvel even in her own time, now serves as Knox Heritage's meeting room.
