American Museum of Science and Energy: Godzilla Double Feature

AMSE's Sci-fi Cinema brings you a double feature of Godzilla and costume monster bash on Saturday, October 26 at beginning at 2:30 PM.
Each film is free for registered guests and will introduce the mythology and misperception of nuclear power in pop culture.
2:30: Godzilla: 2000 (1999) English dub and English sub
5:30: Godzilla: king of the monsters 1956
English dub and sub - US release of the 1954 Godzilla movie.
AMSE will host trick or treat candy station throughout the museum from 2:00pm until 5:30pm.
There will also be a miniature city smash for guests.
We will be featuring a brief interview with the nation's foremost expert on Godzilla, William Tsutsui.
The evening will topped of with a very special giveaway for all preregistered guests.

2024 Knoxville Zombie Walk

Get ready to unleash your inner zombie on Saturday, October 26, from 2:00 -6:00 PM, at the 2024 Knoxville Zombie Walk, a charity event for Helping Mamas Knoxville! Sponsored by Daylight to Dark and Tennessee Macabre, this spooky gathering will take place at Scruffy City Hall on October 26th. Participants are encouraged to bring a donation to join in on the undead fun.
The event kicks off at 2:00 PM, with zombies gathering at Market Square/Scruffy City Hall. If you arrive early, you'll have the chance to get zombified by a makeup artist, making sure you're perfectly ghoulish for the day. At 3:00 PM, the Pumpkin Carving Contest will take place, followed by the Zombie Costume Contest at 3:30 PM. Be sure to bring your A-game for a chance to win!
At 4:30 PM, Greg Krucial Carney and The K-Town Ghosts and Zombies will perform, setting the tone for the big moment—the Zombie Walk, which begins at 5:00 PM. The walk will shuffle its way through Market Square, wrapping up around 6:00 PM with a special "Thrill the World" Knoxville performance to close out the festivities.

Fall Festival and Chili Cookoff to benefit Mane Support

Join us for the Annual Fall Festival & Chili Cook-off in support of Mane Support at the “Spirit of Hope Ranch” in Rockwood on Saturday, October 26th! Located at 1522 New Hope Road, this exciting event will feature a chili cook-off, live music, hot dogs, games, arts and crafts, and plenty of fun for the whole family. Doors open at 2 p.m., with the chili contest judging from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and food and festival activities starting at 5 p.m. To enter the chili contest, be sure to arrive by 3 p.m.
This is our sixth annual event, and we are thrilled to continue the tradition of bringing the community together to support Mane Support, a non-profit organization that provides equine-assisted grief counseling for children, adults, and families in East Tennessee. Mane Support’s work helps those who have experienced grief and trauma heal through the unique bond between humans and horses. During the event, you’ll also have the chance to meet some of our beloved therapy horses, including Elvis, Skylar, Ricky Bobby, and more.
Tickets are $15 per person or $30 for families, and all proceeds go directly to benefit Mane Support.
We hope to see you there for an evening of delicious chili, entertainment, and heartfelt support for a great cause!

Dress up in your favorite costume and come experience fun, seasonal crafts, games, and activities at the Ijams Nature Playscape at Grayson Subaru Preserve. You'll get the chance to meet magical animal ambassadors such as owls, snakes, turtles, and other creatures that call the forest home. • Local Families in Tennessee: We are partnering with a Jonesborough (Washington County, TN) school to support 17 children from ten families affected by Hurricane Helene.
