Memberships may be purchased or renewed during the preview sale or the public sale. In addition to having an early shopping opportunity, garden members receive 10% off their plant sale purchases during the preview or the public sale.

Acoustic Originals & American Roots Music

Sarah Pirkle and Griffin Vann of the band the Naughty Knots team up with singer-songwriter Jeff Barbra for a trio featuring harmony vocals, fiddle, dobro, guitar, original songs, and covers from all over the American roots music catalog. Husband and wife musicians Jeff and Sarah are pleased to share the stage with their good friend Griffin, bringing their living room and campfire jam sessions to the public.

You may make up to three unique pieces of 4x6” art that you will print yourself in our Darkroom!

The UT Arboretum Society’s Annual Fall Wildflower Walk will be held September 21 at Haw Ridge Park in Oak Ridge from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This year’s walk will also serve as the Arboretum Society’s monthly Third Saturday Hike.

Kris Light, an expert naturalist, educator and photographer will lead this fun, educational and easy walk. The group will meet at the kiosk by the Soccer Trail in the parking lot off Edgemoor Road at Haw Ridge. Participants may want to bring a camera to take pictures of the wildflowers. Wear clothes appropriate to the weather and boots or good shoes for outdoor walking. Be sure to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated as you hike. No pets please!

Describing the walk, Light said, “Most people think of springtime as wildflower season, but late summer and fall color the fields and roadsides in gold, purple and white. Come to the fall wildflower walk to learn more about the wildflowers of the fields. “
