McClung Museum After Hours
Category: Classes, workshops, Exhibitions, visual art and Festivals, special events
Make your Halloween extra spooky with a creative twist at an exclusive after-hours painting experience at the McClung Museum, 1327 Circle Park Drive, on Wednesday, October 30, 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Dive into the Halloween spirit by joining us for a unique event where you'll take part in a guided tour of the temporary exhibition, Coming Into View, followed by a hands-on painting session.
The evening kicks off with a curator-led tour of the exhibition, where you'll explore captivating fall-themed artwork. In particular, you'll get inspiration from After Glow by John Francis Murphy, which will serve as the creative basis for your own painting. After the tour, you’ll roll up your sleeves and join Curator Katy Malone for a step-by-step painting session. With Katy’s guidance and all materials provided, you’ll create your very own fall landscape masterpiece to take home and display.
Tickets for this event are $30 with a promo code for Museum Members and $40 for non-members. Your ticket includes an exclusive guided tour, all painting supplies (canvas, brushes, and paints), step-by-step art instruction, and two drink tickets for your choice of wine, beer, or a specialty mocktail.
This is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the magic of fall and Halloween, all while tapping into your creative side. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind experience at the McClung Museum!
